A Golden Opportunity
As the forensic artist for the Real Beauty Sketches campaign of 2013 I continue to receive many interesting opportunities. A few months ago I received an email from the Golden Door spa. They asked if I would come to their location and conduct some sketches and speak to their guests. When I learned more about the Golden Door experience I was left with no choice but to accept their invitation.
I'm looking forward to being a part of the Golden Door team and to bring about some empowerment to the perspectives of the guests attending. I totally embrace the idea that Golden Door promotes: "we help them (guests) regain their center, and from there, anything is possible." I have been mulling over my strategy on how I might empower the guests with my Perspective Sketches™. I can only hope that my sketch interview will bring about a real discussion about how they see themselves, and that I can produce a sketch that will give credence to their comments.
I have never had a problem getting people to talk about what happened to them nor to help them describe whom they saw. The Perspective Sketch™ has given me an opportunity to extend my forensic art skills to provide some evidence of how harsh we may be about who we think we are. I have found that my Perspective Sketch™ interview can sometimes bring about clarity of mind and an awareness of self. In the end, the sketch interview can make you more accepting of yourself and alleviate the pressure you impose on your daily appearance.
A Perspective Sketch™ interview is as much about realizing yourself in illustration, as it is about accepting who you think you are.
Stay tuned, I'll be posting about my experience at the Golden Door in the coming months.
